MOVILLE, Iowa -- Ann Hobbs-Rodgers, 77, of Plainview, Neb., formerly of Moville, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Plainview Area Health Center.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery, Moville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to

Ann Melissa Rodgers, daughter of Nova and Josephine (Coil) Haralson, was born Sept. 23, 1930, in Sioux City. She attended school in Sioux City and later worked at Bishop Cafeteria as a hostess and cashier.
On Oct. 29, 1949, she married Donald Hobbs in Sioux City. The couple lived and worked in Sioux City until 1966, when they moved to Norfolk, Neb. They remained in Norfolk until 1988, when they retired to Moville, Iowa, where Donald died in 1993.
Ann returned to Norfolk in 2002. On Jan. 12, 2004, she married Morse Rodgers in Yankton, S.D. The couple lived in Norfolk and later moved to Plainview, Neb. After Morse's death in August 2007, Ann moved to Plainview Manor. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include five sons, Randy, Daniel and Warren and his wife, Mary Hobbs of Norfolk, Steve and his wife, Joy Hobbs of Slana, Alaska, and Fred Hobbs of Nevada; two daughters, Toni Hobbs of Pender, Neb., and Lori Ann Hobbs of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Faith Willis of Sioux City.
Ann was preceded in death by her husbands; three brothers, Carl, Bud and Joe Haralson; and three sisters, Joyce Dills, Pauline Kelly and Helen Kelly.
