Mildred M. Pritchett

Mildred M. Pritchett, 94, of Moville, Iowa died Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Sunrise Retirement Community in Sioux City. Funeral Services will be 10:30 Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at McCulloch Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes in Moville, Iowa. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery in Moville.
Mildred was born February 22, 1921 in Monowi, Nebraska the daughter of Marion and Lena (Albright) Pritchett. She attended school in Nebraska, Northwest Iowa and graduated from Moville High School in 1938. Mildred continued her education and graduated from Westmar College in 1963 with a Bachelor’s degree in teaching. She taught in Woodbury County rural schools for 10 years, Kingsley for 4 years and finally, in Moville for 25 years.
Mildred was a member of First Baptist Church in Climbing Hill, Iowa, the National Education Association and the Iowa Education Association.
She is survived by a sister, Rayma Pritchett of Moville, IA., and 2 nieces, Patricia (Melvin) Chaffin and Deronda (James) Davis, both of Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leslie Pritchett and a sister, Lillian Dexter.
