Milton L. Couchman, 68, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Milton was born on April 17, 1948, in Ft. Madison, Iowa, to Hubert and Letha (Huett) Couchman. He graduated from Ft. Madison High School.
He was united in marriage to Rose Bachman on Nov. 28, 1970 in Des Moines. They moved to Sioux City and raised their family. Milton worked at Western Iowa Technical Community College in the maintenance department for 16 years.
He attended Lighthouse Baptist Church, coached soccer, and enjoyed camping, grilling, sitting around the campfire, and watching Westerns and detective stories.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Rose of Sioux City; children, Steven (Amber) Couchman, Ann Uhl, Sam Couchman, and Michele (Dave) Gray; brother, Pearl Couchman; and sister, Beverly Wilson.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Marilyn, Oneta, Elaine, and Barbara; and brothers, Richard, Marvin, Raymond, and Darrel.
