LAWTON, Iowa -- Milton Edward Ludwig, 77, of Lawton died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at his residence.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville, Iowa.
Milton was born Aug. 17, 1930, in Sioux City, the son of Irvin and Faye (Wilson) Ludwig. he was raised near Lawton and graduated from Lawton High School.
He married Betty Blixt on Oct. 7, 1950, at Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton. Together, they made their home on the Century farm where he was raised and died. He worked as a hog buyer for the Sioux City Stockyards. Betty died March 10, 2002.
He was a member of Community Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed fishing and carpentry.
Survivors include three sons and their wives, Terry and Paula Ludwig, Jerry and Cindy Ludwig and Perry and Babby Ludwig, all of Lawton; four grandchildren and spouses, Jami and Mark Vaul of Sioux City, Cami and Curtis Parks of Lawton, Terah Ludwig of Lawton and Travis Ludwig of Lawton; three stepgrandchildren and spouses, Luke and April Elmhorst of Humbird, Wis., Anna Elmhorst of Eau Claire, Wis., and Tru and Josh Hemstrom of Neilsville, Wis.; five great-grandchildren; and a sister and her husband, Shirley and Alan Anderson of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Ludwig; and a brother, Tom Ludwig.
