Miriam Elain Underwood, age 94, of Sioux City, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Countryside Care Center.
Graveside services will be held at a later date.
Miriam was born April 15, 1924, in Rock Township Woodbury County, IA. She was the fourth child of Bert and Elise (Henderson) Ethler. She attended several rural schools and graduated from Cushing High School.
She was a kitchen helper at Sunrise Manor for many years before retiring.
She is survived by her son, Ron (Mary E.) Underwood of Sioux City; daughter-in-law, Mary Underwood of Denison, IA; 6 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard; 2 brothers, Donald and Clarence; sister, Lois; grandchildren, Billy Jo and Josh.
