Myrna Fletcher, 79, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at Floyd House in Sergeant Bluff.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Myrna was born on Nov. 11, 1937, in Pleasant Plain, Iowa, to Harrison and Helen (Reighard) Jones. She graduated from high school and went on to attend college. Myrna worked various jobs throughout her life.
She was united in marriage to Lorenzo Fletcher on May 25, 2000 in Indianapolis, Ind. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2011. Myrna lived in Fletcher's Landing, Maine before moving to Sioux City in 2010.
Myrna enjoyed cooking, traveling with her husband, whale watching, entertaining for her family, and making candy plates for friends and family during the holidays. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Ellsworth, Maine. The last few years of Myrna's life were good, happy ones.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Karlene Keleher of Sioux City, Paula Young of Fairfield, Iowa, Roy Lowe Jr. of Wayland, Iowa, and Alice Simons of Estherville, Iowa; sisters, Theresa Mayer of Bemidji, Minn., and Caroline Henry of Danbury, Iowa; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lorenzo; sister, Sandra Boline; and a brother, Buck Jones.
