Nancy was born on Jan. 12, 1950, in Sioux City, to William "Bill" and Dorothy (Tieck) Dodge. She grew up and attended Sioux City Public Schools, graduating from East High School in 1968. Nancy started working for the Stockyards National Bank while in high school part-time and went full-time at the bank after graduation.
Nancy married Randy Krueger on July 5, 1975, in Sioux City. The couple made their home in Sioux City. She continued working at the bank when it became Norwest and later Wells Fargo until retiring in 2004 for health reasons. Nancy won numerous awards at the bank over her many years of service. She made many bank customer friends over the years and would always stop to visit with them even after her retirement when she would run into them around town.
Nancy spent many of her happiest days with their godson, Alex Morgan, and his sister, Mackinzie, and little brothers, Spencer and Walker. She loved to recall the many happy memories of movies, ball games, and shopping for birthdays, Christmas and special gifts for everyone's special wishes. Some of her fondest memories included a Florida vacation to Disney World with their godson, Alex, and seeing the magic through his eyes and young mind. Also seeing and spending time with her grandnephews, Ryan and Andrew. She cherished the time she spent with them and the memories it created.
Her favorite past-time was shopping for the bargain and she always had coupons packed in her purse. Nancy had spent the last several years as a devoted caregiver to her mom and dad, 24 hours a day without ever a complaint.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Randy Krueger of Sioux City; her mother and best friend, Dorothy Dodge of Sioux City; godson, Alex Morgan; a brother, Billy and his wife, Val Dodge of Sioux City; sister, Barbara Tucker and Manny Gallegos of Aurora, Colo.; two sisters-in-law, Donna and her husband, Ronnie Christophersen of Climbing Hill, Iowa, and Brenda and her husband, Rod Olsen of Kingsley, Iowa; several uncles and aunts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill " Dodge; and a special uncle and aunt, Werner and Frances Hoffman.
The family would like to thank the Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital ICU's entire staff for all the comfort and care they provided during her final days.
