Bronson, Iowa - Nancy Ann Klingensmith, 81, of Bronson died on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at her home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City, with Lorna Peters, CLP, officiating. Burial will be in Westfork Township Cemetery, Climbing Hill, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Nancy was born on May 19, 1931, in rural Moville, Iowa. She was the daughter of William and Helen (Hamilton) Meyer. She was raised in the Climbing Hill and Akron, Iowa, areas. She graduated from Morningside College with her B.S. degree in teaching. She taught school in Climbing Hill and the Sioux City Community Schools for 38 years. After she retired from teaching she worked at Chiropractic Health Clinic for 23 years.
On May 18, 1956, she married Donald Klingensmith in Bronson. The couple has lived on a farm south of Bronson for 42 years. Nancy was an excellent horsewoman; she enjoyed reading, dancing and gardening. She loved working on the farm.
She is survived by her husband, Donald of Bronson; a brother and his wife, Jerry and Shirley Meyer of Climbing Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
