Nancy Lou Marks

Nancy L. Marks, age 89, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Memorial Service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Nancy Lou Kamm, the daughter of Walter and Elsie Kamm, was born March 8, 1933, in Lawton, IA. She graduated from Lawton High School.

She married LaVerle Marks, and the couple had two children, Doug and Vicki. Nancy was the bookkeeper at Sioux Harbor Truck Stop and she enjoyed visiting with truckers. She later worked with her sister, Bev, at Linda Lee’s Hallmark Store in the Southern Hills Mall.

Nancy was a member at St. Mark Lutheran Church. She was an avid supporter and volunteer at the Siouxland Humane Society, she also enjoyed walking.

She is survived by her two children, Doug Marks, and Vicki Marks (Mark Rogers); and sister, Bev Thompson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, LaVerle.
