Nancy J. Meister, 67, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at Touchstone Living Center.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Winner, S.D. Burial will be in Winner City Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elk Point, S.D. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Nancy was born on Jan. 20, 1948, in Winner, S.D., to Lawrence and Sedonia (Struzinski) Wagner. After graduating high school, Nancy went on to graduate from beauty school in Sioux Falls. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elk Point, the Altar Society, the Women’s Auxiliary-VFW, and was very involved in Boy Scouts. When her sons were younger, she enjoyed taking them to various sporting events and Boy Scouts. She also enjoyed gardening, painting, and cooking.
Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Corey (Angie) of Arlington, Texas, and Collin (Bobbi) of Sioux City; grandchildren, Brittany, Jayci, Preston, Zander, Keira and Tenleigh; siblings, Regina (Doug) Kogel of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Larry (Judy) Wagner of Winner, Joyce Heath of Winner, Janet (Monte) Kahler of Rapid City, S.D., and Kevin (Lori) Wagner of Winner; and numerous nieces and nephews,
She is preceded in death by her parents.
