Nancy (Evers) Rasmussen, age 85, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at her residence in Dakota City, NE.
Nancy Ann Hodkinson was born April 6, 1936, in Butte, NE, the daughter of James and Agnes (Nurse) Hodkinson. She moved to Sioux City at a young age and graduated from Central High School in 1954.
Nancy married Bernard Evers; the couple had 5 children. Nancy made her home in Sioux City, during which she worked for Kind & Knox.
In 1993, Nancy married Gary Rasmussen, the couple made their home in Dakota City, NE.
Nancy was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved animals and had many pets throughout her life. She also loved antiques and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Rasmussen; children, Kirk (Jeannie) Evers, Kyle (Virgie) Evers, Kory (Chris) Evers, Kendra Reinke, Klay (Lori) Evers; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Pat, Ardith, and Buzz.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
