Norma J. Plucker, 85, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, surrounded by her family.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Riverside United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today, with family present 5 to 7 p.m., at Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Norma was born March 21, 1929, in Petersburg, Neb., to Lloyd and Mary (Orr) Waters.
Norma married Elwayne Plucker on Nov. 2, 1946, in Sioux Falls, S.D. She graduated from West High School in 1978 as an adult.
She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church for many years and enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, gaming and attending sporting events of her children and grandchildren. Norma truly enjoyed her family and passed on valuable life lessons to everyone. She was truly the greatest mom, grandmother, and friend.
Survivors include daughters, Mary Anne (David) Osborn of Arvada, Colo., and Kerri Lynn (Jeff) Preston of Sioux City; sons, Donald (Jean) Plucker of Kennewick, Wash., Joel (Kathy) Plucker of Sioux City, Eugene (LaDonna) Plucker of Las Vegas, Nev., and Richard Plucker of Sioux City; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; a sister; a son, David Plucker; a daughter, Susan Plucker; and granddaughter, Shaunna.
