Norman Douglas Reitsma

Norman Douglas Reitsma, 61, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016, at his residence.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Graceland Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Jay Denne officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Norman was born on April 2, 1955, in Ida Grove, Iowa, to Andrew and Margaret (Lynch) Reitsma. He lived in Sioux City most of his life. He worked at Wollensky Lumber for many years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and music. In his younger years, he played the drums and keyboard with the band IBM (Instant Blues Machine). Norman loved animals, especially his pet dogs.
Those left to honor his memory include his brother, Glenn Reitsma (Dona Thrasher) of Downers Grove, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
