Norman "Keith" Seehusen, 80, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at a local nursing home.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Church of the Nativity. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Keith was born on May 14, 1934, in Battle Creek, Iowa, to Marvin and Alice (Taylor) Seehusen. He was united in marriage to Martha Schoberg on Feb. 10, 1962, in Sioux City. Keith worked at Rosenthal’s as a driver for more than 34 years.
He was a member of Church of the Nativity, where he ushered for several years. He was also a Teamster. He enjoyed playing cards, board games, and watching NBA games, especially the Chicago Bulls. He loved spending time with his family especially his two grandsons, Tyler and Trevor. Keith was always there for them and they would do many activities together including fishing, traveling, sporting events, and car races.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Martha of Sioux City; daughter, Ann (Ron) Derochie of Sioux City; grandsons, Tyler and Trevor Derochie of Sioux City; sister, Joyce (Roger) Davis of Ida Grove, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Siouxland and Countryside Retirement Home for the wonderful care of Keith.
