Olga Shpakowsky, 97, of North Little Rock, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at her home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Church of the Nativity in Sioux City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes in Sioux City.
Olga was born on May 6, 1920, in Sioux City, to James and Anna (Radekevich) Sabasta. She attended Sioux City Community Schools and East High School.
In 1942, Olga married Adam Shpakowsky in Sioux City. Throughout their marriage, Olga and her husband traveled while her husband was in the military. They returned to Sioux City in 1980. In 2011, Olga moved to Arkansas to live with her daughter, Anna, and son-in-law, Drennen.
She attended St Francis Catholic Church until she transferred her membership to Church of the Nativity.
Olga is survived by her son, Thomas Shpakowsky of Huntsville, Ala.; and her daughter, Anna Bulloch and her husband, Drennen of North Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Adam Shpakowsky; her two sisters, Mary Bulizak and Helen Johnson; and her three brothers, Joe Sabasta, Tony Sabasta, and Walter Sabasta.
Pallbearers for the service will be Steve Sabasta, Tim Sabasta, Mike Sabasta, Scott Cochrane, Billy LePay, and Rick Little.
