Sioux City - Pamela Frey, 47, of Elgin, Ill., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Dec. 26, 2012, from complications of cancer.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Morningside Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Tom LoVan officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be immediately before the service, with a time of fellowship with the family after the service.
Pamela was born Dec. 23, 1965, in Sioux City to Donald and Barbara (Neilsen) Frey. She grew up in the Sioux City area, attended Longfellow grade school and graduated from Sioux City East High School in 1984. She continued her education at Morningside College and graduated in 1989.
Pamela moved to Elgin, Ill., in 1991 and had been a resident there ever since. While living in Elgin she was employed with a leasing agent for Community Property Management Co. in Aurora, Ill. She was also a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin.
Those who knew Pamela will remember her for her smile and gentle spirit.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Frey of Sioux City; her brother, Donald and Dawn Frey of Swisher, Iowa; a niece, Gabriella Rose of Swisher; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
