Patricia A. Archer

Patricia Ann Archer, 72, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at a Cherokee, Iowa nursing home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel Guenther will officiate. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Patricia was born on Aug. 12, 1943, in Sioux City, the daughter of Toge and Bernice (Angerman) Newman. She was raised in Sioux City and lived here all of her life.
On July 17, 1969, she married Michael D. Archer in South Sioux City. Patricia was an accountant and worked for Combined Pool and Spa, Schaaf Manufacturing, Hy-Vee and Fareway.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Patricia loved spending time with her husband, children, grandkids and great-grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Michael of Sioux City; her children, Kim (Dave) Riordan of Pierson, Iowa, Michael Shane (Sarah) Archer of Sioux City, and Justine (Adam) Harrington of Sioux City; stepdaughter, Bobbette (Ron) Norby of Sioux City; 10 grandkids; two great-grandkids and one great-grandkid on the way; her brothers and sister, Mike (Bev) Newman, Gene (Sharon) Newman, Butch (Marsha) Newman, Jim (Sue) Newman, and Susan (Steve) Klover
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Rosemary and Linda; and her brother, Richard.
