Patricia Jane Francis

SIOUX CITY -- Patricia Jane Francis, 83, of Sioux City died Dec. 6, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Craig Collison will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:30 to 8 p.m. today, with a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Pat was born April 10, 1927, in Sioux City, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Farley) Francis. She graduated from Central High School. After high school she went to work for Channel 9 Television, where she was a program traffic controller and also did several other jobs. She worked part-time for the Berkemier Funeral Home.
Pat was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was very active in the church activities. She enjoyed playing all kind of cards and particularly enjoyed participating in round robin card parties. She loved to travel whenever she could.
She is survived by her brother and his wife, Mike and Judy of Sioux City; her nieces and nephews, Davis Francis and his wife, Valerie Chase, James Francis, Becky Davison and her husband, Hal, Shawn Francis and his wife, Cheri, Laurie Beckham and her husband, Wes, Larry Francis and Lori Muckey; and several grandnieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her bother, James.
