Patricia M. Hammond

Sioux City, IA – Patricia M. “Pat” Hammond, 78, died Sunday, August 13, 2023, at a local hospital in Sioux City, IA.

A funeral service will be 10:30 am Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Larkin Chapel, 2320 Outer Drive N., with visitation one hour prior. Patricia Marie “Pat” Lansing, the daughter of Frank and Marie (Koester) Lansing was born July 9, 1945, in Wayne, NE. She graduated from Wayne High School in 1963. Pat went on the graduate from Wayne State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Bookkeeping and Mathematics.

On September 20, 1980 Pat was united in marriage with Leo “Charlie” Hammond in Sioux City. She was employed at Fitch & Co. for 23 years as a bookkeeper, and went on to work at Petco for the next 12 years. Pat retired in 2015.

Pat was a member of the American Business Women of America and the Kennel Club. She enjoyed square dancing, reading, and needlepoint.

Pat is survived by her husband, Charlie, and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
