GLENWOOD, Iowa -- Patricia Anne Lockwood, 53, of Glenwood passed away April 21, 2011, after a brief illness at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.
Graveside services and interment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.christysmith.com .
Patricia was born on Feb. 1, 1958, at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Sioux City to Dr. Floyd A. and Margaret "Eleanor" Lockwood. Patty attended school at the Glenwood Resource Center for the developmentally disabled.
She enjoyed sunny days, going to the movies or shopping at the mall and listening to the radio. All who knew her will not forget her sly smile and greeting, "Hi there," when she recognized a friend coming through the door.
Patty is survived by her brother, James Lockwood of Sioux City; a sister, Marie Lockwood of O'Brien, Ore.; many friends and caretakers at Glenwood; two aunts; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
