SIOUX CITY -- Patricia Kaye Wyant, 66, of Sioux City passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, surrounded by her loving family.
Services will be 7 p.m. Monday at Sioux City Baptist Church, 3222 Pawnee Place, with the Rev. James Pointer officiating. A private family burial was held Thursday, Dec. 23, in Eastview Cemetery, Allen, Neb. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church. Patricia Kaye McCord was born Sept. 3, 1944, at Kearney, Neb., to Robert H. and Mildred P. (Patrick) McCord. She grew up in Allen, Neb., and graduated from Allen High School in 1962. She married Richard N. Wyant on April 19, 1964, at Allen, Neb. The couple lived in Germany for a year while her husband served in the U.S. Army. The couple made their home in Sioux City after returning from Germany.
Patricia loved being a wife, homemaker and mother to her four children. She was a very proud, loving grandmother, who actively celebrated their every achievement. Patricia loved serving her Lord and Savior at Sioux City Baptist Church. She also loved being a part of the Siouxland Antique Car Club with her husband.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Richard of Sioux City; her four children and their spouses, Matt Wyant of Sergeant Bluff, Molly and her husband, Terrill Campbell of Humboldt, Iowa, Melissa and her husband, Jay Hoogendyk of Sioux City, and Deborah and her husband, William Strickland of Florence, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Janet Wyant of Sergeant Bluff; 14 grandchildren, who she loved and cherished, Katee, Luke and Spencer Wyant, Andrew, Hope, Aaron and Hannah Campbell, Cameron, Katrina, Gwenyth and Alexandra Hoogendyk, Grayson Squires, Gavin and Gabrielle Strickland; her loving mother-in-law, Maxine Wyant of Sioux City; her sister, Karan and Jerry McManis; brother, Gary and Marlene McCord; two sisters-in-law, Susan and Jimmy Hamilton and Lynne Wyant; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law.
The family requests in lieu of flower memorials, that gifts be given in her name for a children's church camp scholarship fund.
