SIOUX CITY -- Patrick Mahlon Murray, 60, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, in Iowa City, Iowa.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Kingsley, Iowa, alongside his parents. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Pat was born on Aug. 4, 1948, in Sioux City, the son of Raymond and Gladys (Robeson) Murray. He was raised in Sioux City and graduated from Heelan High School in 1966. He graduated from Briar Cliff College in 1970.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a 10-year member of the Sioux City Noon Lions Club and served as president in 2007. Pat was also a member of Romeo's Breakfast Club with friends for many years.
Survivors include a brother and his wife, Joseph M. and Diane of Fayetteville, N.C.; a sister and her husband, Margaret (Peggy) and Tim Neuroth of Sioux City; a sister-in-law, Jackie Card Murray of Sioux City; a brother-in-law, William Rye of Livermore, Calif.; nine nephews and nieces; and 11 great-nephews and great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John R.; and a sister, Joan C. Rye.
