Phyllis Cloud, 76, of McCook Lake passed away at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in McCook Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Phyllis was born on Aug. 12, 1938, in Sioux City, to Richard and Gertie (Christensen) Andersen. She was united in marriage to Harold Cloud on Dec. 31 in South Dakota. They made their home in McCook Lake.
Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and previously St. Peter’s Church. She was a great cook and was known for her homemade pies. Phyllis also enjoyed traveling to Colorado and loved living on the lake.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, stepson, Gary (Pam) Cloud of Houston, Texas, Cathy (Jeff) Meyer of McCook Lake, Eric (Cristina) Cloud of Elizabeth, Colo., Monica Cloud of Vermillion, S.D., Julie Cloud of Oklahoma, Joseph (Deanna) Cloud of Sergeant Bluff, George (Pam) Cloud of Olathe, Kan., Karl (Lisa) Cloud of Sioux City, Phillip (Missy) Cloud of North Sioux City, Vivian (Scott) Patrick of Sergeant Bluff, and Lynn (Dale) Lynam of Sioux City; grandchildren, Danielle, Merlin, Gary Jr., Michael, Laura, Steven, Katlynn, Alexis, Colton, Isaiah, Seth, Noeland, Grace, Tony, Beverly, Spencer, Halen, Collin, Cara, Caiden, Cameron, Elijah, Josiah, Nevaeh, Jeremiah and Hadassah; great-grandchildren, Darian, Ryley, Kieran, Thomas Jr., Teagan, Adrian, Ashlynn, Aerynn and Aaiden; siblings, James Andersen, Marian Ream and Joyce Miller; sister-in-law, Pauline Andersen; and numerous relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; stepson, Mike; grandson, Justin; four brothers; and two sisters.
