Rae J. Redding, 69, of Moville died Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Kingsley Nursing and Rehab Center in Kingsley, Iowa.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville, with the Rev. Barb Spaulding officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of McCulloch Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes in Moville.
Rae was born on Aug. 4, 1946, in Sioux City, the daughter of Raymond and Violet (Durgan) Rath. She married William "Bill" Redding on April 19, 1974, at Elk Point, S.D. They made their home in Moville. Bill died on April 15, 2011.
Rae loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, doing crafts, working in her flower gardens and watching reality TV. She also enjoyed volunteering for the Meals On Wheels program.
Survivors include a son, Rick Rice of Sioux City; daughter, Tami Manker of Sioux City; three granddaughters, Courtney Manker (Lawrence Taylor) of Sioux City, Brittney (Tran) Keels of Spring, Texas, and Hanna Manker (Dustin Bailey) of Moville; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Randy (Linda) Rath of Sioux City.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Bill.
