LE MARS, Iowa -- Randy L. Anderson, 58, of Le Mars died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes in Sioux City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 today at the funeral home.
Randy was born Jan. 5, 1954, in Oakland, Neb., the son of Lester and Lorraine (Longwell) Anderson. He grew up and attended school in South Sioux City.
Randy married Debra Kelly on Aug. 17, 1985. They made their home in Sioux City until moving to the Le Mars area in 1994. Randy worked for S.S.Coe Advertising and then drove for Schuster Trucking for almost 25 years before retiring in 2011 because of illness.
Randy loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed collecting coins for his grandchildren and being on the farm with all his animals.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Anderson of Le Mars; two daughters, Kim and Bryan Allen of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Brandy and Chad Reimer of Sioux Falls; three sons, Randy & Brenda Anderson Jr. of Renner, S.D., Travis and Jennifer Anderson of Le Mars, and Brian and Kera Anderson of Le Mars; 10 grandchildren; several brothers and sisters; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two grandsons, Scott Reimer and Kyle Anderson.
