Ray Franklin Lofton

SIOUX CITY -- Ray Franklin Lofton, 78, of Sioux City passed away June 29, 2011, at the Elms Care Center in Ponca, Neb.
Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Graceland Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Merrill Mueller officiating. Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ray was born on May 12, 1933, in Westfork, Ark., to Frank and Lillie (Brock) Lofton. He grew up, attended and graduated from high school in Westfork.
He married Wilma Jean Winn on July 27, 1957. Ray spent many years of his life buying and selling feeder cattle and feeder pigs. He spent many years at the Sioux City Stockyards.
Ray also enjoyed basketball and football.
Survivors include his son, Mark and Cindy Lofton of Sioux City; three grandchildren, Brock, Blake and Ryan; and his former wife, Wilma Lofton.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky and a grandson, Austin.
