Raymond J. Cain, 81, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with Pastor Michael Cooper officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
He was born June 26, 1935, in Sioux City, to Amil Bennie and Beulah (Austin) Cain. Raymond served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Raymond married Mary Tague July 14, 1956, in Sioux City.
He was a welder at Prince Manufacturing, Wilson Trailer, and McCracken.
Raymond enjoyed woodworking, trains, old western movies, the Cubs, long Sunday drives, fishing, gardening and flowers, and Taco Tuesday.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Cain; daughters, Mary Jean (Kent) Vigil, Susan Garner, Lauri (Jeff) Norby and Amy Mitchell; sons, Raymond R. (Dixie) Cain, Rodney Cain and Rex Cain; grandchildren, Tabatha Cain, Bonny O'Brien, Chad Cain, Alicia Cain, Aaron Cain, Travis Street, Adam Sanford, Benjamin Vigil and Richard Norby; great-grandchildren, Liam O'Brien, Rocco and Catalina Cain, Kaitlyn Cain-Trudell, and Hannah and Halle Cain; sisters, Mary Lou Jorgensen and Rosemarie Underwood; and brothers, Donnie "Milton" Cain and Leo Cain.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, LeRoy "Bud" and Melvin Cain; and a grandson, Andrew Sanford.
