Raymond James Timm, age 87, of Sioux City died Monday, January 14, 2019 at a Sioux City Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00pm Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Morningside Chapel Christy Smith Funeral Homes with Neal Peck CLP officiating, burial will be held at a later date in the Elk Point, South Dakota cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be one hour before funeral service.
Raymond was born in Wagner, South Dakota on February 2, 1931, the son of Henry Roosevelt and Ruby (Bell) Timm. He graduated from Iriquois, South Dakota schools in 1948. After graduation he worked for the railroad for a short time until moving to Elk Point and working as a beekeeper for a few years. He then began working at Soo Bee Honey in Sioux City until he retired.
Raymond enjoyed playing golf and hunting deer. He learned to fly a small airplane.
He is survived by his brothers; Leland Timm of Stoutland, Missouri, Lyle Timm of Vermillion, South Dakota, and his sister Lila (Timm) Henke of Akron, Iowa, along with several nieces and nephews.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, a brother LeRoy Timm, and two sister-in-laws Ione Timm and Delores Timm.
