Rebecca Jo Wilcox, 72 of Sioux City, Iowa died on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at a Sioux City hospital.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel located at 1801 Morningside Ave. Sioux City, Iowa 51106. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, 1801 Morningside Ave., Sioux City, Iowa.
Rebecca was born March 21, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa, to Lawrence and Mary (Woolworth) Wilcox. She grew up in Sioux City attending Sioux City Christian School. She loved kids and spent much of her time baby sitting her nieces and nephews when they were young. Rebecca loved animals, enjoyed reading and watching nature shows on television, she especially enjoyed making new friends and visiting with people
Surviving are brother, David (Cassy) Wilcox of Des Moines, IA, sisters, Julie Nelson of Sioux City, IA, Karen (John) Howard of Hubbard, NE and Sherry Nash of Sioux City, IA. a sister in-law Sharon Wilcox and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Richard, Donald and Douglas and a sister; Ann Hagestrom.
