SIOUX CITY -- Regina Margaret Bocian, 96, of Sioux City died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, at her niece's home in Sioux City.
Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, 1801 Morningside Ave. Online condolences may be sent to

Regina was born Nov. 24, 1914, at Mapleton, Iowa, the daughter of Hans and Henrietta (Sievers) Wacheldorf. She attended school in the area and graduated from Mapleton High School.
Regina married Clifford Ives and later married Stanley Bocian. Together she and Stanley made their home in Sioux City. In past years, Regina worked in the Morningside College dorms and various other jobs in the area. Stanley died in the early 1980s.
Regina enjoyed spending time working out in her yard.
Survivors include two stepsons, Ronyee and Carolyn Bocian of South Sioux City, and Gary Bocian of Omaha; a stepdaughter, Michelle Patton of Crab Orchard, Ky.; nieces and nephews as well as great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a stepson, Stanley Bocian Jr.; four brothers, Hugo, Louie, Ben and Emil; and two sisters, Freda and Mabel.
