Regina J. "Jeanne" Jacobson, 67, died Sunday, April 30, 2017, surrounded by family, at a local hospital in Sioux City.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Regina J. "Jeanne" Jacobson, the daughter of Jack and Bonnie (Gurnsey) Church, was born Aug. 28, 1949, in Sioux City. She attended Sioux City Schools. Jeanne was proud to get her G.E.D.
In June of 1966, Jeanne married Harry “Pee Wee” Kincaid. They later divorced. On Feb. 7, 1981, she married Steve Jacobson.
Jeanne worked for Zenith and the State of Iowa. She later provided daycare in her home as well as provided care for her grandmother and mother in their final years of life. Jeanne loved cooking and entertaining. She loved Bingo and enjoyed trips with her husband to area casinos. Jeanne not only played softball, she was known as the best stat/bookkeeper while Steve coached back in the “Floyd Softball” days. Jeanne adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Steve, and their children, Suzie (Kincaid) Greuniesen, Scott Kincaid, Shannon (Terry Baier) Kincaid, all of Sioux City, Dan (Erin Griggs) Jacobson of Prairie Village, Kan., Aaron Jacobson of Le Mars, Iowa, and Wendy Jacobson of Sioux City; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings, Ellen Church of South Sioux City, Delvin (Joni) Wilde, David Wilde, Dan (Sue) Wilde and Larry (Cindy) Wilde, all of Sioux City, and Tony (Nina) Lamoureux of Kentucky; her in-laws, Barb Wingert, Dave (Diann) Jacobson of Sioux City, Kate (Brad) Rohde of Lawton, Iowa, Mary Taylor of Sioux City, Caroline Tauge of Sioux City, and Kim Johnson and Teresa Stevens of Minnesota. She was "Aunt Jeanne" to many.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; stepfathers, Del Wilde and Lowell Lamoureux; and her brothers, Terry and George Church.
The family prefers that their guests on Saturday are in casual attire.
