Richard E. "Dick" Kiley, 80, of Sioux City, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, at a local hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, with the Rev. Jerome P. Cosgrove officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with a parish vigil service held at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Richard was born in Sioux City, on June 18, 1937, the son of William E. "Bud" and Elma (Foss) Kiley. Richard was a lifelong resident of the Sioux City area. He formerly lived at the Woodbury County Home and most recently had been a resident of Mid-Step Services.
Richard loved to dance, as well as attending slow pitch softball games at the local complex. He also loved cars.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Kisling (John) of Springfield, Mo., and Jeannie Kiley of Springfield; his brother, Dr. Thomas Kiley (Kathy) of Cadillac, Mich.; five nephews, Kevin, Robert, and Mark Kisling, and Trevor and Tanner Kiley; two nieces, Lisa Thomson and Kayla Howard; two grandnieces, Madison Kisling and Kiley Kisling; five grandnephews, Connor, Carson, Kyle, Kale, and Michael Kisling; and one great-grandnephew, Kaiden Kisling. Richard is also survived by his friends at Mid-Step.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
