BRONSON, Iowa -- Richard "Rich" Wulf, 69, of Bronson passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, 1801 Morningside Ave., with Pastor Craig Bock officiating. Burial will be in Floyd Township Cemetery at Bronson. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a 7 p.m. prayer service, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.christysmith.com .

Richard John Wulf was born April 15, 1939, to John and Marie (Raveling) Wulf in Sioux City. He attended and graduated from Bronson High School with the class of 1957. Rich served in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves for six years.

On July 25, 1964, Rich and Dixie Lee Willhauck were married in St. Louis, Mo. He was an ironworker building towers for Advance Industries, LaBlanc Inc. and Royal Iron.

In his younger days, Rich enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre and cribbage, his cows and putzing around on the farm.

Rich is survived by his wife, Dixie Lee of Bronson; daughters, Julie and husband, Joe Muscolino of Boston, Mass., and Kris and husband, Steve Holst of Hornick, Iowa; grandchildren, Madison and Rachel Holst; a sister, Joyce and husband, Bob Yusten of Dakota City; a brother-in-law, John Murphy of Le Mars, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Babe Wulf of Sioux City; and numerous nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elmer and Melvin; sisters, Dorothy Wulf, Clara Ranschau, Verna Murphy and two sisters in infancy.
