After returning to Sioux City, Bob married Patricia Harbeck on May 15, 1954, at Sacred Heart Church. He graduated from Central High School.
Bob was a leader, always striving to be the best he could be. In his work life, his intellect and creative mind was always recognized and appreciated by his employers and peers. As a postal employee, he advanced to the superintendent position which he held until retirement. He loved his work but his true passion was service to others. Empowered by his strong faith, God, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, he tirelessly gave his time and finances for the betterment of people and countless causes. Bob's life and how he conducted his many roles is an example for all of us to emulate. We celebrate having such a tender and loving man in our lives. He will be missed by all.
