Robert Henry "Bob" Quist, 74, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at his residence.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Tess Panamarow officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Bob was born on May 1, 1940, in Greensburg, Pa., to Daniel Robert and Barbara Edith (Hahn) Quist. Bob served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959.
He married Karen Blair in Las Vegas on Nov. 15, 1968. He owned several businesses in town including Mother Trucker's, King of Clubs, Q and Feather, and Checkers.
Bob enjoyed four-wheeling, hunting, fishing, shooting pool, and playing darts. Bob's biggest enjoyment was making people happy and spending time with kids.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Quist; sister-in-laws, Carol Blair and Ellen (Kim) Karst; and nieces, Sherri (Tony) Eret and Robin Karst.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Hospice of Siouxland or the June E. Nylen Cancer Center.
