SIOUX CITY -- Robert A. Pallas, 56, of Anaheim, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, died Dec. 25, 2008, in California.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Condolences may be sent online to

Robert was born Oct. 25, 1952, in Sioux City, the son of Harold and Lola (Sachau) Pallas. As a child, he moved with his family to California. He graduated from high school in California. He continued his education at Cypress Junior College and received his bachelor's degree in accounting from California State University at Fullerton.
He worked his way through school at McDonald's. After graduating from college, he worked for Alpha Beta Markets. For the last 15 years, he worked at Universal Protective Services.
He enjoyed watching the L.A. Lakers, the Dodgers and going bowling.
He is survived by his mother, Lola Pallas of Sioux City; an aunt, Lucy Miller-Harris of Sioux City; and three uncles, Eugene Sachau of Sioux City, Daniel and Lorraine Pallas of Las Vegas, Nev., and Willis Pallas of Las Vegas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold; uncles, Walter Sachau, Erskine Pallas, Frank Pallas and Milton Pallas; and aunts, Frances Wood and Betty Kiger.
