Roberta Anne Severeide (Towler)

Sioux City - Roberta A. Severeide, 67, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Bergen Mercy Hospital in Omaha, surrounded by her family.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Morningside Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. David Koehler officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Roberta was born March 26, 1946, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Beverly (Johnson) Towler. She attended school in Sioux City, graduating from East High School in 1964.
Roberta married Larry Severeide on May 7, 1967, at Morningside Presbyterian Church. Together they made their home in Sioux City.
Roberta was an active member of Morningside Presbyterian Church and an active member of the PEO Chapter LX, of Iowa. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Roberta also enjoyed relaxing at their lake house at McCook Lake, S.D.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Severeide of Sioux City; three daughters and their husbands, Stacy and Shane Madison of Des Moines, Iowa, Stephanie and Chris Groves of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, and Shelli and Jeff Jepsen of Sioux City; a son and his wife, Shane and Megan Severeide of Jackson, Neb.; seven grandchildren, Michael and Sarah Madison, Ashlyn and Conner Groves, Guy Severeide, Ella and Cal Jepsen; a brother, Jim and Julie Towler of Dakota Dunes, S.D.; a sister-in-law, Lori Towler of McCook Lake, S.D.; two uncles, Bill Johnson of Dakota Dunes, and Oscar Towler Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.; and a special niece, Jordan Towler of McCook Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Carleigh Jepsen; and a brother, John Towler.
