Sioux City - Roger A. McGraw, 65, of Sioux City, died Dec. 16, 2013, at Countryside Retirement Community.
There will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Roger was born on Sept. 5, 1948, in Anthon, Iowa, the son of Kenneth and Elizabeth (Schuldt) McGraw. He graduated from Woodbury Central High School and continued his education at Wayne State College, graduating with a teaching degree.
He married Marsha Seely on May 28, 1977, west of Akron, Iowa. Roger taught for a short time in Hinton, Iowa, then worked for Graham Brake and a grocery chain here in Sioux City before going to work for the Department Of Revenue for the State of Iowa for more then 25 years.
He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Sioux City Bowling Association where he had served on the board. Over the years, Roger and Marsha had been season ticket holders for Sioux City Bandits football, Musketeer hockey and Explorers baseball.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha McGraw of Sioux City; his father, Kenneth McGraw of Anthon; two sisters, Marcia McGraw of Sioux City, and Kathy and Brian Gallagher of Westwood, N.J.; and his in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and a baby sister, Nancy Jo McGraw.
