Ronald Eugene Craft, 76, of Sioux City, passed away on Sept. 29, 2017, at a Sioux City hospital, while surrounded by his loving family.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Sioux City. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Ronald Eugene Craft was born on March 7, 1941, to Amos and Hilma (Anderson) Craft. Ron grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School in 1959. He met Linda Joy Adkins in 1957 and later married her on June 2, 1960, in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Ron was a loving and devoted husband and father who always put his family first. He enjoyed refinishing furniture, traveling with his wife, working around the house, crossword puzzles, nature, working in the yard, Snoopy, trains, reading, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and the love of his life, his wife, Linda. Ron was a member of First Christian Church in Sioux City.
He is survived by and lives on through his wife of 57 years, Linda Craft of Sioux City; their four children, Jerine (Kevin) Kroll of Hinton, Iowa, Ron Jr. (Patty) Craft of Richland, Wash., Paul (Amy) Craft of Sioux City, and Jodette (Rick) Tindell of West Richland, Wash.; his 14 grandchildren, Eli, Ethan, Evan, Eddie, and El'Lee Kroll, J.P. Underhill, Noelle Craft, Reneelynn, Ean, and Canaan Craft, and Téa, MacKenna, Gabriel, and Lilah Tindell; one brother, Ralph (Sandra) Craft of Williamsburg, Va.; one sister-in-law, Norma Craft; and several nieces and nephews.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Hilma Craft; and a brother, Ross Craft.
The family has requested that memorials be sent in Ron's name to First Christian Church in Sioux City, Hope Lodge in Rochester, Minn., and Gift of Life House in Rochester.
