Roseanne F. Cutler, 85, of Sioux City passed away following a brief illness Sunday, May 18, 2014, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church. The Rev. David Hemann will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Roseanne was born on May 25, 1928, in Sioux City, the daughter of Robert and Gem (Montage) Campbell. She was a life resident of Sioux City. She attended Hawthorne Grade School and Leeds High School.
On March 5, 1946, she married Neal T. Cutler in Sioux City. Roseanne worked at Aalf’s Manufacturing, the Battery Building and then at the Sioux City Sunshine Foods Stores for more than 35 years.
She was a longtime member of St. Michael Catholic Church. Roseanne was an avid fisher woman. She enjoyed traveling to Canada and Colorado, but what she loved most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Tom and Vickie Cutler of Sioux City, and Annette Nichols of Sioux City; four grandchildren, Brett Cutler, Justina Faulkner, Martin Nichols and Jon Nichols; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; her sister, Cecelia Scott of Sioux City; and a special friend, Tana March of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Neal in 1995; two brothers, Robert and James Campbell; and her son-in-law, Gary Nichols.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the nurses on sixth and eighth floors at Mercy Medical Center and especially to Hospice of Siouxland for all their help and loving care.
