Rosella A. Laumbach, 78, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at Sunrise Retirement Community.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Lawton, Iowa. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Rosella was born on Dec. 18, 1936, in Moville, Iowa, to Adolph and Katie (Gehrke) Laumbach. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1954. She lived in Lawton her entire life before moving to Sioux City in 2006.
Rosella was employed as a cook at Lawton Public Schools and at Sunrise Manor.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and was a Sunday School teacher for 15 years. Rosella enjoyed music of any kind, especially gospel music. She also enjoyed antiques and flea markets, and was always ready for an adventure.
Survivors include her nephew, Rick (Paula) Weidaman of Paullina, Iowa; niece, Cheryl (Ed) Grotenhuis of Alton, Iowa; special children, Myrtie (Steve) Allen of Lawton, Dr. William (Carol) Kamm of Ocoee, Tenn., and George (Elsie) Kamm of Branson, Mo.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Glen Weidaman of Paullina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Adele and Darlene; friends, Albert (Mary) Kamm; grandson, Kevin Kamm; and special child, Robert Kamm.
Memorials may be made to the Sunday school at Bethel Lutheran Church.
