Rosemarie "Cookie" Chicoine, 75, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at her residence.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, with Rabbi Guy Green officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Rosemarie was born in Sioux City, on Sept. 12, 1942, the daughter of Laif and Rosemary (Decey) Fjeldos. She attended Sioux City Community Schools.
She was united in marriage with William Raskin in 1965 and the couple later divorced. She then married Dr. Gerald Chicoine in 1991. Dr. Chicoine preceded her in death in 1998. She worked as a caterer at Guido's at Sioux Gateway Airport and the Normandy Hunt Club before moving to Brookings, S.D., in 2002, where she managed a Sears store and later served as head baker at Brookings Health Center. She returned to Sioux City in early 2017.
Rosemarie enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and cooking. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing golf. She enjoyed going to yard sales with her friends and family.
Her life will always be remembered by her children, Robyn Raskin Harvey and her husband, Du Wayne, and Randy Raskin; Dr. Gerald Chicoine's ten children; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Larry Fjeldos; her sister, Karin Sperbeck; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her second husband, Dr. Gerald Chicoine.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for further designation at a later date.
