Roy James “Jim” Collier, 80, of Sioux City, IA died Wednesday, February 16, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Jim was Born July 7, 1941, in Sioux City, IA to Everett Waldo Collier and Dorothy Verna (Pyle) Collier. He graduated from Central High School in 1959. Jim joined the Air Force after graduation then after being Honorably Discharged he attended Morningside College. On September 7, 1991, Jim married Sarah (Sally) Stokes.
Jim worked as a systems analyst for St. Luke’s Hospital for 21 years.
Jim enjoyed animals, nature, fishing and camping. He enjoyed being Santa for children and families with his dog, Spud. He enjoyed painting landscaping and looking at trees around the area. Jim enjoyed Native American Culture which inspired him to start carving peace pipes. Jim was a member of Morningside Assembly of God Church,
He is survived by his wife, Sally; brother, Everett (Kathy) Collier of Sioux City, IA; sister, Virginia of Maxwell, IA; uncle, Ray (Jean) Collier of Sioux City, IA; aunt, Lee (Paul) Chase of FL.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jerrie Gilman; 2 half-sisters, Shawn Silzer and Judy Anderson.
