SIOUX CITY -- Rozella Weekley, 95, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at her home following a brief illness.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, with the Rev. Tom LoVan of Morningside Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to

Rozella was born Feb. 1, 1913, in Archer, Iowa, the daughter of Arie and Maggie (Van Kikerix) Reekers. She was raised in the rural Sheldon, Iowa, area and lived there until moving to Sioux City in 1940 with her husband.
She married Gerald Weekley on May 15, 1932, in Worthington, Minn. He passed away on Jan. 26, 1969, in Sioux City. Rozella had been a unit secretary in the OB/GYN Department at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center for many years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Morningside Lutheran Church and the Girls of 68.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna (Norm) Treft, April (Harold) Hanson and Leila (Bob) Agee, all of Sioux City; a daughter-in-law, Jean Weekley of Washington, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, Mark Treft, Leisa Barrier, Paul Treft, Laura Miller, John Weekley, Justin Hanson, Jerel Hanson, Jeff Agee, Chris Agee and Molly McCain; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Herb (Ruth) Reekers of Sheldon, Iowa, and Lynn (Sylvia) Reekers of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and two sisters, Mary (Willis) Rains of Derby, Kan., and Gladys (Mike) Dailey of Aurora, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Robert Weekley; and four sisters, Leona Reekers, Lavonne Westall, Elizabeth Caprio and Geneva Nieuwenhuis.
