Ruth Marie Taylor-Stephany age 88 of Sioux City died on Friday November 26, 2021 at a local care facility.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00am Thursday December 2, 2021 at Christy Smith Morningside Chapel with Rev. Jim Shirbroun officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Ruth was born in Elgin, Iowa on March 14, 1933, the daughter of Ed and Wilma (Green) Boleyn. She attended and graduated from Elgin High School. She came to Sioux City in 1974 for a short period of time, and returned on 1976 and made her home her
until her passing. She formerly worked at MCI and Riddles Jewelry for a short period of time. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Ruth was deeply involved with her neighbors on Lorraine street. She was known as Grammy to all the children of the neighborhood. She was a great cook and baker, and she loved to bake.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Haack and her husband Steven of Mount Juliet, TN and Cynthia Macku and her husband Charles of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She is also survived by her four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her special companion, her puppy Max.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her son, David Perry; four sisters; and one brother.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in her name be made to Grace United Methodist Church in Sioux City.
