Sally Ann Kueny (Franck)

SIOUX CITY -- Sally Ann Kueny, 71, of Sioux City died Friday, April 30, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital after a long and beautiful life.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gary Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a rosary at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Sally Ann (Franck) Kueny was born in Hull, Iowa, and raised in Marcus, Iowa. She married Richard Leo Kueny on Jan. 13, 1962. They loved and raised seven children , making Sioux City their home. She was employed at the Department of Human Services for many years.
She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Richard Kueny of Sioux City; her beloved brother, Gene Franck and his wife, Janice of Marcus, Iowa; three loving daughters, Mary Beth Runge and her husband, Patrick, Sandra Stewart and her husband, Shannon, and Kathleen Roe and her husband, Robert Jr.; three loving sons, Mark Kueny and his wife, Elizabeth, Paul Kueny and his wife, Becky, and Andrew Kueny and his wife, Katie. She was an amazing grandmother to 10 grandchildren, Makenna Kueny, Makayla Kueny, Makira Kueny, Nicholas Stewart, Alec Stewart, Peter Stewart, Max Stewart, Tyler Kueny, Robbie Roe, and Gabrielle Roe; and great-grandmother to Timothy Stewart.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Margaret Franck; her parents, Harry Erickson and Vivian Franck of Marcus, Iowa; her infant brother, Jerry Franck; her beautiful sister, Deanna "Cookie" Lussier of Cherokee, Iowa; and her courageous daughter, Barbara of Omaha.
