Sharon Van Cleave, 58, of Sioux City died Monday, March 4, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Mark McGlohan officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to

Sharon Van Cleave was born Jan. 25, 1950, to Artis and Lorain (Bowen) Van Cleave, in San Antonio, Texas. Her family moved to Sioux City in the early 1960s, where she graduated from Central High School with the class of 1968. She earned a bachelor's degree from Briar Cliff College in Sioux City. She worked at WACO in Sioux City for 32 years.
She enjoyed listening to music, especially the Beatles.
Survivors include her mother Lorain of Sioux City; brothers, Greg and Deb of Minneapolis, Maurice of New York, and Kurt of Kansas City, Kan.; a sister, Pam Van Cleave of Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Artis.
