SIOUX CITY -- Sharon J. Hasler, 75, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at her residence.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Wolff officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Sharon Jean Hasler was born July 4, 1934, in Sioux City, the daughter of Barnie J. and Vivian (Blanchard) Hewitt. She attended Woodrow Wilson School.
She married Robert T. Hasler on April 25, 1952. Robert died Feb. 13, 1993.
She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas. She also enjoyed camping and fishing.
Survivors include four children, Robert B. and Carol Hasler Sr., Steven P. and Jina R. Hasler, Carla J. and Tim W. Rubel and Timothy A. and Theresa Hasler, all of Sioux City; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Beverly Holzerland of Sergeant Bluff; and a brother, Ronald Hewitt of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Hasler; a grandson, Jamy Hasler; a granddaughter, Sarrah Hasler; a son-in-law, Dennis DeKok; and a great-grandson, Benjamin C. Brown.
