SIOUX CITY -- Sharon Hennessey-Mickelson, 69, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daniel Guenther officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Condolences may be sent online to

Sharon Marie Hennessey was born March 24, 1940, in Sioux City, to Edward and Lorraine (McQuirk) Hennessey. She attended and graduated from Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools with the class of 1958.
She worked for Joslin Real Estate for a number of years. She also worked for MCI WorldCom for 20 years, retiring in 2006, when the Springfield, Mo., location closed.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She had a love for animals and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa and her husband, Chris Columbia of Lake In The Hills, Ill.; brothers, James and his wife, Barb of Vermillion, S.D., Larry and his wife, Jolane of Sioux City and Gary and his wife, Sandie of Omaha; grandchildren, Nathan and Katelyn Columbia of Lake In The Hills; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a nephew, Terry Hennessey.
