Sharon B. Lloyd, 84, of Lawton, formerly of Moville, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Char-Mac Assisted Living in Lawton.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Moville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Little Sioux Township Cemetery in Smithland, Iowa. Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 5 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are with Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville.
Sharon was born Aug. 10, 1929, on a farm near Hornick, Iowa, the daughter of Nelson and Mildred (Dowling) Sherman. She attended school and graduated from Hornick High School in 1947.
Sharon married Eugene "Shine" Lloyd on March 18, 1948, at Everly, Iowa. They made their home near Oto, Iowa.
Sharon worked for more than 31 years as a cook at Woodbury Central Schools, retiring in 2001.
Shine died Dec. 9, 1989. After his death, Sharon moved to Moville. She moved to Lawton in 2007.
Sharon loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed a good day at the casino, cooking for her family, crocheting, embroidery and collecting bells.
Survivors include her children, Bernie (Gary) Sulsberger of Hornick, Neal Lloyd of Oto, Roger (Michele) Lloyd of Sioux City, Kevin (Karen) Lloyd of Climbing Hill, Iowa, Mark (Cindy) Lloyd of Moville, and Faith (Brett) Lambert of Moville; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Evelyn Uhl of Omaha, Neb.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Shine
